Zanzibar Romancing Your Senses was founded as a bath and fragrance shop in 1996 by partners Steve Puffer, Donna Sheaffer and Nancy Morris in a small space on N. Market Street in Lancaster Pennsylvania. After moving to its current, larger space on West King Street in 2005, the store gradually morphed into a fashion boutique with the addition of handbags, hats, scarves, socks, jewelry, gloves, umbrellas, readers, wallets and a selection of trend setting tops and jackets. After Nancy and Donna left the business in 2010, Steve expanded the small men’s collection to include shaving soaps and colognes as well as socks, wallets, hats and unique up-cycled belts.

Currently, Zanzibar still stocks a selection of over one hundred varieties of luxurious soaps from France, Australia, Jordan, Ireland, Italy, England, and right here in the USA. Sumptuous body lotions, hand creams shower gels and colognes round out the fragrance department.

Zanzibar features a great assortment of uncommon greeting cards from over ten boutique card lines. We specialize in snarky, off the wall humor, but you will also find beautiful handmade cards printed with the finest papers and inks, and delightful pop up cards. The success of our humorous greeting cards led us to realize that we all need a bit more humor in our lives, and to search out humor in other products. Some of out top selling items currently include novelty socks, coasters, oven mitts, dish towels and more!
